Marangu route is sometimes called the Coca-ColaRoute because it is relatively easy. It is referred to as the tourist route due to the services available on the way to the summit. Unlike other routes, it is relatively easy, and has a low success rate because many unfit people attempt the Kili trek via this route and fail, it is a popular route and accommodation is in huts. Many trekkers prefer it. It is also beautiful, the easiest and shortest route. Ascent and descent are done on the same path.

Itinerary for 5 Days Marangu Route Mount Climbing Safari
Day 1
Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport by a Zara representative and then transfer to spring lands hotel or a similar hotel in Moshi for overnight and morning breakfast.
Day 2
After breakfast, drive from Spring Lands Hotel to Marangu gate then hike to Mandara hut
Day 3: Mandara Huts
Mandara Huts (2,740 m/9,000 ft) to Horombo Huts (3,690 m/12,100 ft) 11 km, 6-8 hours Heathland
Day 4: Acclimatization day on the mountain
Day 5
Horombo Huts (3,690 m/12,100 ft.) to Kibo Huts (4,695 m/15,400 ft.) 10 km, 6-8 hours Alpine Desert
Day 6
Summit Day!Kibo Huts4,695 m/15,400 ft)to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m/19,340 ft)to Horombo Huts (3,690 m/12,100 ft)4 km up, 14 km down10-15 hours Alpine Desert
Day 7:
