Marangu route is sometimes called the Coca-Cola Route because it is relatively easy. It is referred to as the tourist route due to the services available on the way to the summit. Unlike other routes, it is relatively easy, and has a low success rate because many unfit people attempt the Kili trek via this route and fail, it is a popular route and accommodation is in huts. Many trekkers prefer it. It is also beautiful, the easiest and shortest route. Ascent and descent are done on the same path.

Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport
Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport, pick up, and transfer to Spring Lands Hotel or a similar hotel in Moshi for overnight. Full Board
Day 2: Mandara Hike
After breakfast, pick up from Spring Lands Hotel and drive to Marangu gate then hike to Mandara hut.
Day 3: Mandara Huts
Mandara Huts (2,740 m/9,000 ft) to Horombo Huts (3,690 m/12,100 ft) 11 km, 6-8 hours Heathland
Day 4: Horombo Huts
Horombo Huts (3,690 m/12,100 ft) to Kibo Huts (4,695 m/15,400 ft) 10 km, 6-8 hours Alpine Desert
Day 5: Summit Day
