Itinerary for 10 Days Kenya / Tanzania Private Safari

Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Pick up from Nairobi hotel/Airport and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, a great spot for the Great Rift Valley floor. Arrive in good time for lunch and rest. After lunch, you will embark on a game drive around the shores of Lake Nakuru. This game drive will provide the best bird-watching and viewing of black and white rhinos. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge/camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha

Do an early morning game drive; return to your lodge for a full breakfast. Thereafter, leave for Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, leisure and nature walk around the facility. An optional boat ride and a visit to Crescent Island at an extra cost.

 Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, leave for Masai Mara National Reserve via Narok town to arrive in good time for lunch and rest at your camp. The afternoon game drives at 1530hrs until 1830 hrs; in search of the Big Five and luckily you might see leopards hunting that afternoon because they are very active during that time.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast; spend a full day game viewing with a picnic lunch across the rich, tree-studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black manned lions, leopards, and cheetahs but also contains numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya, lunch is served in the park at the Mara River, the border of Kenya and Tanzania and the scene for yearly wildebeest migration after lunch continues with your game drive covering the park into sections.

At Masai Mara, Balloon safari and Visit to Masai Village are optional activities at an extra cost of $450 per person (Balloon) and $20 per person (Village).

Masai Mara National Reserve – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, leave for Serengeti National Park with a game drive en route. Stopover at the Isebania border for lunch and immigration. Thereafter, crossover to proceed to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in good time for an evening game drive en route to your lodge.

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive. The park is home to the big seven including; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, rhino, and African hunting dog. The Serengeti stretches 14,763 (5,700 sq miles) stretching North to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the West. Serengeti has the highest concentration of large mammals on this planet and it’s famously known for its 2,500 Lions the largest concentration found anywhere. The park also has over 518 identified bird species where some of which are Eurasian migrants who are present in the European winter months from October to April.

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

Do an early morning game drive; return to your camp for a full breakfast. Thereafter leave for Ngorongoro crater. Arrive in good time for lunch and rest. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive on these landscapes that range from dense mountain forests and woodlands to grasslands, lakes, and swamps. Huge herds of ungulates dominate the crater floor with zebras, wildebeests, elands, Grant’s, and Thompson’s gazelles being the species most commonly seen. But the crater is also home to the “big five” and elephants, lions, and buffaloes are often spotted. The almost extinct black rhino can also be found in the crater and sightings aren’t rare either. Serval cats spotted hyenas, and jackals are also often seen while cheetahs are more difficult to spot.

Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park

Have breakfast then depart for Lake Manyara with a game drive as you leave the park. Arrive before lunchtime. Check in at the lodge, have lunch, and relax around the cozy lodge as you wait for an afternoon game drive. Afternoon game drives until 1800hrs.

Lake Manyara National Park – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast; leave for Tarangire National Park to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, get an opportunity to do a wonderful game drive at the park. The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in the north of Tanzania but is also home to many other wild animals. With some luck, you can spot lions, cheetahs, or leopards. The landscape of the park is very diverse. Especially the huge baobab trees, which are located close together in the north-eastern sector of the park, are particularly impressive.

Tarangire National Park – Arusha
