Itinerary

Arrival
Free pick up and transfer to your Nairobi hotel upon arrival. Accommodation before the tour can be arranges at an extra cost.
Day 1: Nairobi / Transfer Samburu National Reserve (332km)
You will be picked at 7a.m. by our tour guide/driver and immediately depart for Samburu to arrive by lunch time. Check in at the camp and have lunch then relax by the pool. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m.
Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge

Day 2: Day Samburu National Reserve
Spend the whole day with a game drive in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this land. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve / Transfer Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, depart to Sweetwater’s (Ol Pejeta conservation Area). Sweetwater’s land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with its huge ranch was once a private property of the famed Saudi Arabian multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We will then visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps. This is the only place in Kenya where this endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be found. The same sanctuary also offers refuge to over 40 species of black rhinos.

Day 4: Sweetwater’s
We will have two extensive game drives exploring the exotic Sweetwater’s Sanctuary. As our camp overlooks one of the best waterholes in the area, this will give us a good view of the wild life such as elephants, giraffes and myriad plains game among others. Sweetwater’s boasts of excellent game viewing experience with the highest ratio of game to area among any other parks or reserves in Kenya.

Day 5: Sweetwater’s / Transfer Thomson Falls (Nyahururu)
After breakfast, descend slowly with scenic sightings of Aberdare National Park to Nyahururu areas to arrive in time for check-in for Lunch at Panari Resort. After enjoying your hot buffet lunch, you will have the opportunity to explore the enchanting waterfalls that attract colorful birds and provide good photographic opportunities. A nature trail at the base of the falls and through the gorge is a safe haven for the endangered Columbus monkeys, baboons and small animals. A popular base for high altitude training, used by international athletes. Thompsons falls is an attraction site accessible maternity for elephants which migrate through Rumuruti elephants corridors from slopes of Mount Kenya.

Day 6: Thomson Falls (Nyahururu) / Transfer Lake Naivasha
After an early morning breakfast, you leave the Nyahururu and head to Lake Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy aromatic lunch with a cool breeze from the lakeshores with an optional boat ride and visit to crescent Island. This afternoon, you can take a nature walk around the facility.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha / Transfer Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast we leave the Rift Valley floor and drive to the Maasai Mara en-route with picnic lunches from Sopa lodge. After a short rest we embark on our first evening game drive in the vast game reserve, which was recently classified as the latest “Wonder of the World”. The Mara is an extension of the Serengeti in Tanzania. All the “Big Five” are found here. With some luck you may see some of them today.

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the whole day with a game drive in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this beautiful savannah plains. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River. Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks

Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve / Drop off Nairobi
Enjoy your morning breakfast as you prepare to check-out. Have game drive enroute to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch and drop off at your Nairobi hotel or Airport.
